The Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge is an athletic competition between firefighters from around the world.

The Challenge has been seen for over a dozen years on ESPN and can now be seen on the Versus Television Network.  The sport is growing, and in recent years has expanded beyond North America to include fire departments and firefighters from around the world, including New Zealand, Germany, Argentina, Chile, and South Africa.

The Challenge itself is a timed event consisting of five events:

Each of these events are physically demanding; when run one after the other without stopping to rest, AND while wearing approximately 40 pounds of firefighting gear, one can understand why the Firefighter Combat Challenge has been called "The Toughest Two Minutes in Sports".

Team Lubbock competes in the Open Male, Team, Relay Men, and Tandem Open Men categories at all regional events we attend.

Advancement to the World Challenge Championship requires that the following times must be met at a Regional Event:

Open Male:1:50
Team:6:30
Relay Men:2:00
Tandem Open Men:1:45
